A lean supply chain solution requires that thousands of error free transactions and operations must be performed day in day out. Span has leveraged 20 years experience working in the demanding automotive electronics industry in installing quality systems based on TS16949. More than half of all Span sites are TS16949 and/or ISO9001 certified, with the remaining scheduled for certification in 1Q 2003 To 1Q 2004.

As a vital link in the supply chain our quality systems have to be better or equal to that of our world class OEM /Supplier partners. Each Span site has a quality team that reports to our Director of Quality at corporate headquarters ensuring responsiveness to quality concerns. Data cards with key performance metrics are transmitted daily from each site to corporate headquarters and collated for management review. Monthly QOS meetings are held with OEMs and data is shared with Suppliers partners to drive continual improvement throughout the supply chain.
